This training event is being sponsored by The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, UL, Merck & Co., Altria, California Narcotics Officers Association, Investigative Consultants and numerous other brand owners.

This class is POST approved through CNOA.

The training will feature all new presentations and topics. The attendees will be taught what it takes to properly investigate Intellectual Property Crimes and the true effects these crimes have on our economy.

We will also be covering the issue of gang members and other groups becoming involved with counterfeiting in order to raise money for their organizations.

There will be a host of leading law enforcement experts on hand, who will instruct the attendees about the methods of conducting trademark counterfeiting and piracy investigations. They will also discuss current trends that are being seen throughout the United States and abroad.

There will be several brand owners on hand, who will be instructing the attendees on the methods of identifying counterfeit goods. There will be a great cross section of goods discussed, including pharmaceuticals, tobacco, music, video games, electronics, perfumes, luxury goods, household goods, golf clubs, software and much more!

This will be a major event that will be well attended by both state and federal law enforcement officials from throughout the Western United States.

The attendees will learn about the TRUE financial impact that these crimes have on our local and global economies. You will hear about how truly lucrative the sales of counterfeit goods can be and how a counterfeiter can make millions.

The Time & Location:
This event is being held at the Cerritos Performing Arts Center. Registration will begin at 0730 am. The class will start promptly at 0830 am.

Coffee and breakfast snacks will be served. Lunch will also be provided.

This event is open to active law enforcement officials only and is free of charge. Identification will be required to enter the event.
