This event is only open to active law enforcement officers and Federal Agents.

This class is designed for law enforcement officers that have not conducted these types of cases in the past and will focus on the basics regarding these crimes.

The attendees will be taught what it takes to properly investigate Trademark Counterfeiting and other Intellectual Property Crimes. You will hear directly from experts about crimes affecting the pharmaceutical, consumer goods, tobacco, entertainment, and luxury goods industries.

The attendees will learn about the Underground Economy and how these crimes negatively impact our communities. The following topics will be covered during the training:

There will be a host of experts on hand, who will instruct the attendees on the methods of conducting trademark counterfeiting and piracy investigations. They will also discuss current trends that are being seen throughout the United States and abroad.

This class will be focused on teaching the attendees how to approach these cases with a higher level view in order to identify networks and larger players within these criminal organizations. The ultimate goal is to identify the manufacturers and major distributors of the illicit products.

The attendees will learn about the TRUE financial impact that these crimes have on our local and global economies. You will hear about how truly lucrative the sales of counterfeit goods can be and how a counterfeiter can make millions in a very short period of time.
